Parents, those great masters

Traducir
There is a strong tendency that says that we choose our parents before birth. I neither affirm nor deny it. I just do not know if it´s so.
Being elected or not, there is no doubt that parents are very important figures in our lives. As a friend of mine says: "They take up so much room", referring to a mental and emotional room. And it is true, throughout our existence they are subject of much love, much hatred, resentment, admiration, lack of understanding, loyalty, pain, despair, gratitude, forgiveness,  love again... It´s amazing the whole variety and intensity of feellings that these two important persons can cause in us.

I do not know if we choose our parents; but I do know that they are there, wether alive or dead, absent or present. They are there, they live in our cells, our thoughts, feelings and reactions. They are alive in our prejudices and in our values. They are our first teachers and possibly the most relevant ones we may ever have.
I do not know if we choose our parents; but what I do know is that for me to be me, this unique and unrepeteable being, can only come from this father and this mother; moreover, they are the only possibility for my very existence. Out of all the endless possibilities there is ONLY one that is true. And this miracle of uniqueness is not only true for me but is also true for every single human being.
Have you ever thought about the whole lot of "coincidences" that have to occur in the lifes of your parents, grandparents, great grandparents, and so forth, only for you to come into being? How many unique beings, unique situations, exact times, specific places, all of them involved in the creation of a sole human being: you. And this occurs to all and every one of us.

It looks as through this constant "uniqueness" Life graces us and reminds us of the miracle and importance of our own existence. It seems as if supported by factual evidence, Life whispers in our ear: "Yes, you are wanted too".
It moves me and fills me with respect.
